10 TONNES TO GET THE JOB DONE

Sanford now have a newly designed purpose-built marine-grade 10-tonne deck winch for their Havelock-based mussel harvester ‘The Pacifica,’ built completely in-house by the team here at FPS.

Developed using purpose-built, marine-grade components, designed to withstand the harsh marine environment without corroding, we are sure she will get some good use out and about in the Sounds raising and lowering mussel farm mooring blocks.

It even has the additional FPS hydraulic automatic shutdown valve, designed to safeguard staff and prevent accidental injury by shutting down equipment immediately when access panels are opened, or guards removed. More on that to come.
